JJCM @ Restoran Ikan Bakar Kukup

RESTORAN IKAN BAKAR KUKUP

Address:
Lot 5473 Jalan Dusun Muda,
15200 Kota Bharu,
Kelantan.

Opens from Monday to Sunday
5:00pm to 1:00am

This restaurant serves mainly ikan bakar, seafood and masakan panas. But one thing that make it famous is its ABC. So good! The taste is so nice. Sweet but not too sweet. I like it a lot! I usually came here after we had dinner somewhere else. Hihii.. Just to have ABC and a little snack. A nice place for family and friends to gather and chit chatting over ABC. But for those who easily gets frustrated over finding parking space, you shouldn't come because finding an empty space to park could take forever.

This is the best ABC so far. No other place could challenge ABC Kukup. As for now. If you know one, feel free to give me a suggestion.

Mine as always the ABC Special, 3 colours and ice cream on top. Yummilicious! Green for pandan, red for syrup and yellow for corn. You can choose to have a single flavor or double or triple. One more famous flavor is chocolate. Superb!!

Hihii..

Ikan bakar and masakan panas are good but a bit pricey. During fasting month, they also serve 'colek'. Sotong celup tepung, udang celup tepung, colek malah, keropok and anything that can be dip in sauce. My favourite is pulut durian. But it's very seasonal. No durian season, no pulut durian.

I've tried ABC at other places such as at Jati Corner and Sate Malaysia but they weren't as good as ABC Kukup. At least not to my taste.

My husband said the same thing. The ABC here are the best! He came here twice already and never disappointed about the ABC. Good job to ABC crews for making the ABC taste so good! Hihii..

Thorbaek!!

Jerebu di Pantai Teluk Kalong

PANTAI TELUK KALONG

Address:
near (behind)
Sekolah Rendah Teluk Kalong,
Kampung Teluk Kalong,
24100 Kemaman,
Terengganu.

On the second day of Aidil Adha 2015, the haze was bad in my 'village'. This picture was taken around 8 o'clock in the morning. Hoping that it was morning fog but actually it was the haze. Huhuu.. Lucky enough to watch the fishermen went out to sea. Mencari rezeki sesuap nasi walaupun jerebu melanda.

And nothing can stop us from having fun at the beach. It was my husband's first time ever being here, in my kampung and at the beach. So glad that I had the chance to take him to my favorite place.

Picnic is the best therapy! There was no one at the beach except us that day. Pantai ini ana yang punya! Brought lemang and serunding from home. Beraya berdua di pantai. Others were still in bed. Hihii..

Al-kisah lemang di hari raya. My aunt bought us lemang on the first day of raya at Bangsal Lemang Kijal. RM5 sebatang lemang dan rm12 sebekas serunding. Fiuhh.. naik harga! But on the second day of raya, I get 3 batang lemang for RM10 and the serunding for only RM5. Wow! So much difference in just 2 days!

The water was so crystal clear but the atmosphere was so hazy. Used to see big ships on the horizon but this time nothing. Grey view! During monsoon season, this beach is famous among surfers because it provides them with big waves but not as big as those Hawaii waves. Enough for surfers to surf to the shore. Kikii.. You can meet surfers from Singapore, Korea, Japan during that time.

My husband and I had so much fun at the beach. Just being us and not afraid of what people might say. Being us is fun! I am so lucky to find a guy as lovely, romantic, funny and happy go lucky as my husband. Nothing fake. What you see is what you get! What you don't see is his to keep! I don't mind! Hihii.. I love this chubby guy so much!

When building sand castles are too mainstream, build a submarine! Hahaa.. Can you see my submarine? I got a big laugh when I showed my husband my submarine. Not the whole submarine, only the top, the rest are still in the water. Hahaha..

Whenever we were at the beach, we always talk about our future. What are we going to do about our future. What are our plans for our future. What, how, when, where? All those questions came out. He's trying his best and I'm trying my best. The rest is in God's hand. I know there's a lot of things on his mind, the things that he want to do, to achieve, to be somebody! Good luck hubby!

I will always be there for you!

JJCM @ Warung Pak Mat Pulau Pisang

WARUNG PAK MAT PULAU PISANG
WARUNG PAK MAT SUP KEPALA IKAN
WARUNG PAK MAT TEH TARIK MADU
macam-macam panggilan

Address:
Warung Pak Mat Pulau Pisang,
Medan Ikan Bakar (M.I.B),
Kedai Buloh, Kota Bharu,
Kelantan.

Open from 10am - 4pm
(Closed on Tuesdays)

Nak cari lokasi Warung Pak Mat Pulau Pisang ni senang je. Find this billboard and you'll be at the right place! Warung Pak Mat is located at end lot of the food court.

Public holidays, school holidays, raya holidays, whatever holidays, this place will be swarm with people. Today is Malaysia Day, Selamat Hari Malaysia!

Today's breakfast, teh ais madu, sup daging and telur dadar. Terbaik! Sup masam-masam pedas. Teh ais lemak-lemak manis. Yummss.. Our breakfast is RM18.00 in total.

Pak Mat should be proud of his restaurant instead of some issues he encountered because a lot of people still coming in. There's nothing bad about bad publicity. Mahal tak mahal, kalau sedap apa salahnya!

This is my teh ais madu.
SUPERB!! AWESOME!! MARVELOUS!!

Of course!! Saya minum sampai licin. Table sebelah pula biarkan saja buih tu. Cubalah rasa buih tu. Menarik! RM4.00 per glass. It's worth the money. Bukannya boleh minum hari-hari, kencing manis. Sekali sekala apa salahnya! This is my third time here!

Satisfied customers! Thank you Pok Mat!
Alhamdulillah..

Of course I'll be coming back here anytime soon!

JJCM @ Lemang To'ki

LEMANG TO'KI

Address:
Lemang To'ki,
Batu 2, Jalan Tras,
28700 Bentong, Pahang.
(Kuala Lumpur - Bentong - Kota Bharu route)

We went there on our way back to Kota Bharu from Kuala Lumpur. It took us about 45 minutes to reach this place from my sister's house in Gombak. From far we could see a big signboard 'Lemang To'ki' above the roof of a quite big food stall.

This place is famous among the bikers. Even when we came here, there were several groups of bikers having their lemang here. Berderet superbike tersusun.

The place is quite nice and the area is quite big. So peaceful. Blends quite well with nature. Go green! Confirm makan bertambah!

My grandmother used to make lemang and sold them at her stall in Kijal, Kemaman. Used to help her preparing and selling lemang during school holiday. But she's retired now. Lemang ni, a Malay traditional food made of glutinous rice and coconut milk and cooked in a hollowed bamboo. Fresh from the oven! Hahaa..

Lemang & Rendang

LEMANG SET

Lemang Kosong RM2.50
Lemang Ayam RM4.50
Lemang Daging RM4.50
Lemang Serunding RM4.50
Lemang Ayam + Daging Rm6.50

LEMANG BATANG

Sebatang RM9.00
Sebatang RM10.00
Sebatang RM12.00
Sebatang RM13.00

RENDANG

Ayam RM6.00
Daging RM6.00
Ayam + Daging RM7.00
Serunding RM6.00

The price is quite reasonable!

Apart from lemang and rendang, they also served pantai timur fusions, buffets, seafood, ala thai menu. Ayam bakar and daging bakar pun ada.

We already had our breakfast at Genting Sempah before we get here. So it would be a suicide if we continue to eat lemang here. We opted for take away. The smell of the rendang sungguh menusuk kalbu sepanjang perjalanan.

The lemang was already cold by the time we ate it. Although the lemang and rendang were cold, they still taste great. The lemang was still soft. Bayangkan kalau makan semasa masih panas. Huhuu.. The rendang was just nice. Spicy but not too spicy! Terbaik!!

Mom is getting better at her photography skill. Hahaa..

Apa-apa pun, lemang on Hari Raya is too mainstream!
Jom beraya hari-hari di Lemang To'ki!

My Top Ten Igers

The one reason I haven't been posting for quite a while because I am having so much fun posting pictures on my Instagram skylarkrose. And also having fun becoming a stalker on Instagram. Hahaa..

I envy those instagrammers or igers who have their own style of posting. So in love with their pictures. I wish that mine are as good as theirs, but I have to face it, theirs are far way better than mine. I don't even have specific theme. (-_-)'

These are my Top Ten Instagrammers #igers

#symmetrybreakfast

I don't know if I have an OCD or not but I really love organized things. I fell head over heels when I came across Micheal Zee's IG. It started by accident with one perfect, symmetrical breakfast for two that went viral. One day Michael Zee made breakfast and he laid it out an omelette, avocado, salami and fruit juice, it was perfectly symmetrical. He took a photo and posted it online, and soon attracted a lot of comments from friends who thought it was cute. Yes, they are really cute and I like them a lot! A lot of people have been following and using the symmetrybreakfast hashtags but not as pretty and symmetrical as Micheal Zee's.

No 2. findfarah

I started following findfarah's IG when I came across her quotednails hashtag. I found it really cute where she took a picture of her lovely nails pressing on page with lines and some quotes. Her handwriting is seriously lovely for a doctor. They can be read quite clearly. Hahaa.. Then I found out about her OCD and Organic hashtags. OMG I love them! When she cooks or bakes the ingredients will be arranged nicely before she starts cooking or baking. Love love love those pictures!

No 3. zynp

If you love flowers and fruits decorated in such lovely ways especially in flatlays, you sure gonna love Zynp kind of style because I do. I like them so much. I love pictures with coffee cup and flowers in it. Makes the coffee looks so delicious Never thought rearranging flowers, petals, leaves, sliced fruits could look so much fun! You'll come across a lovely hashtag that says zynpdiary which had quotes in them. Don't forget the zynpcoffee and zynpsq hashtags because the pictures are so lovely!

No 4. Rodrigo R.

Rodrigo seems like a guy who reads a lot because he always features open books, a cup of coffee, pencils, reading glass and all. His flatlays are very interesting in vintage kind of style. I also love his hashtag the nonsense bike. They make no sense at all but I like them anyway. Hahaa..

#girleatworld

I love to travel but I don't have a lot of money to travel the world. Hahahaa.. Malaysia is enough for now. My hashtag should be #girleatmalaysia. Well there are already people using that hashtag. I love going through Girleatworld gallery. Hand, food and beautiful places on the background. The food doesn't have to be an expensive one, a sandwich from the backpack is enough as long as the magnificent view on the background is captured. Girleatworld enjoyed local delicacies very much. It can be guidance for those who wants to the places she went. She also featured #girleatworld or #boyeatworld from friends.

No 6. reaz_one

#byreaz_one

This guy is amazing and of course so talented. Sketches, doodles or what ever people call them, they are beautiful. He tells story through his art. Recipes, traditional foods, childhood, cultures. I love them because I too experience the story he tells. Do check out his gallery!

No 7. yotte

Dayot was my junior in high school. Didn't really know her well but I like he IG very much. She lives in Japan. She cooks, she bakes, berkebun and she travels. She has two children who became the subjects in her photos. Cute boys!

No 8. dayotskitchen

#dayotskitchen_selamatpagi

#dayotskitchen_bentocikabe

#dayotskitchen_cakes

Dayotskitchen is actually Yotte's IG account too. She made this especially for her recipes, cooking, baking and all about food. You can ask her for recipes. She's a great cook. So jealous!! I love her pancakes but never tasted them. They look so yummy. Checkout her dayotskitchen_bentocikabe hashtag! Bekal untuk suaminya yang cute. But if I am to prepare bento for my cik abe, that amount of rice and that amount of lauk?? Hihii..

No 9. cafe_no_ma

I like the concept, "Time with a cup of coffee at home". Lovely flatlays! I love onthetable hashtag. I wish I am a good cook so that i can prepare lovely breakfast for my husband. I'll do my best! :)

No 10. hailwarjunit

some of my favourites

This crazy friend of mine likes to run a lot! Hahaa.. She's into the marathon, half marathon, full marathon sort of thing. I don't know where she gets all those energy but one thing for sure she likes to travel. I envy her! Marathon takes her to many beautiful places. And she definitely had skills of taking beautiful pictures. Arghh.. jealous!!

So these are my top 10! Do check them out!
